Forward Mustapha Ogunbero is determined to score his first goal for Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin Football Club when they face FirstBank FC in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Matchday 13 encounter in Ilorin on Saturday.

The skilled winger, who is yet to find the back of the net, has been impressive for the Saraki Boys, recording four assists in seven league appearances.

“It would be our first home game of the second round against FirstBank FC, and the players have been working tirelessly since Monday ahead of the game tomorrow. Our aim is to win the match,” he said to the club’s media.

The former Unilorin Warriors forward believes that the draw with Gateway United last weekend will serve as a huge motivation going into Saturday’s game.

“Our last game against Gateway last weekend, which we had our first away point, was a huge motivation for us, and it would help our confidence in securing the three points,” he said.

Ogunbero has set a challenging task for himself, hoping to deliver a strong performance and score a goal, adding that their ultimate target is to secure a spot in the Super Eight.

“I want to give a good performance with a goal tomorrow; our target is to get to the Super Eight, no matter our standing on the log now. I know we can still get to the Super Eight,” he concluded.
