ABS Ilorin FC promising young forward, Boluwatife Jeremiah Ajina, has set an ambitious target for the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, declaring his desire to hit double figures in both goals and assists to help drive the team’s promotion push.

Ajina, who was one of ABS FC standout performers last season, recorded eight goals and three assists in fifteen appearances, showcasing his growing influence in the squad.

ABS Ilorin FC will begin their new campaign with a crucial home fixture against Sokoto United on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at the George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.

Speaking to the club’s media team after their final training session ahead of the opener, Ajina expressed great confidence in the squad’s readiness.

“We are very prepared judging by our friendly games against Crown, Osun United, Kwara United, and Sunshine Stars where we scored a couple of goals, at least a minimum of two goals in those games. I want to assure our fans that we are going to entertain them and win the game,”
he said.

Ajina further noted that although he reached double figures in combined goal contributions last season, he fell short of double-digit goals specifically, something he is determined to correct this term.

“Last season I got double figures in goals and assists but my goals weren’t in double figures. This season, I’m working very hard to ensure I score double-figure goals and also provide assists so I can contribute more to the success of the team.”

The forward also expressed excitement about the new season, especially with ABS FC beginning with two home games, which he believes will give the club a strong early push.

“We are excited about the commencement of the season. We have two home games to start with, and we are sure that with the support of the fans, we will win our matches. The new players are integrating well, the new coaches are doing great, and the BetPawa bonus is giving us a lot of excitement too.” He concluded.
