The Kwara State Football Association has advised the General Public to disregard unofficial informations, documents and advertisements from unofficial sources.
A Strong worded statement from the Association on Thursday through Bolaji Lawal, urged the general public to distance the football ruling body from such unwholesome practices and only refer to official statements and documents published and confirmed by the body’s secretariat and Media Department.
The message contained that the Kwara State stadium remains the property of the state government, hence nobody is allowed to tresspass without authority while stressing that the association has enjoined a tremendous link with the State Sport Commission led by Mallam Bola Mogaji.
It added that having formed an exceptional relationship with CAF Appeal Committee Chairman, SAN A.U Mustapha, who has supported the FA in all ramifications, no individual or unscrupulous element should rubbish or tarnish the Respected Senior Advocate of Nigeria reputation.
The Chairman, Malam Idris Musa Abdullahi, commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for his unbiased support to football and reinstated the FA’s backing to the Governor’s administration which has help repositioned the state to enviable heights.
“ Our attention has been drawn to some reports and we will like to state that the FA remains committed to operating according to the ethics of football governance, in that regard, we are focused on maintaining cordial relationships with respected authorities including the State Sport Commission and will never be involved in indecent activities”.
“Also, SAN A.U Mustapha is a respected Lawyer and Football enthusiasts who has good representation for Kwara, Nigeria and Africa, hence, his image should not be tarnished”, it read.
