Secretary of the Club Owners Association of Nigeria, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka has promised football-loving Nigerians to expect sensible outcomes from the ongoing marathon NFF, IMC, Club Owners and others stakeholders’ meetings which started yesterday evening in Abuja with continuation today towards commencement of 2023 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The new NPFL season is expected to start this weekend in an abridged format with two groups containing ten teams each and the overall winner to pocket 100 million Naira as the winning prize.
The veteran Ilorin-based journalist emphasized the importance of the meetings so as to help reform football activities in every aspect of the country.
The director of ABS football club of Kwara state also confirmed a 10 million naira grant will be presented to each club participating in the top-flight league in the country to help them prepare well ahead of the new season.
He further clarified Kwara United football club will be playing their league matches in Ibadan as the Kwara-based club stadium is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
