Owolabi Aremu has expressed his excitement following Kwara United’s 1-1 draw with Bendel Insurance of Benin on Saturday evening.

The Harmony Boys coming from a home defeat to Shooting Stars last weekend held their host to 1-1 draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin City.

Mohammed Alao fired the visitors in front on the 67th minutes scoring from a free-kick, while Deputy Echeta restored parity for the host on the 77th minutes to maintain their unbeaten run.

Owolabi Aremu who replaced Musa Abdulafeez on the 59th minutes to earn his fifth league appearance for Kwara United this season says it was good fight and a good way to bounce back from the home defeat last weekend.

“I am happy with the result today, it is a morale booster for us and a good way to respond to the defeat to Shooting Stars the last time”, – He said to Owosports.com.ng.

“We came with the mindset of winning, we were close, we scored first but we slipped and allowed them to equalize, at the end it was a good result to take back home and we will keep working hard to position ourselves well on the table”, He added.

The young-star joined the Harmony Boys in the summer after a successful spell at Kebbi United.
