Kwara United Football Club today defeated Wikki Tourists of Bauchi by a lone goal, in the Matchday three fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) decided at the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin.

The match, which later proved relatively difficult for the home team due to some variables, had Ebuka Anaekwe scoring against his team, to gift Kwara United FC the second home win of the season.

Kwara United FC started the game targeting an easy ride, but the Bauchi side, tutored by Ilorin traditional Chief, the Mogaji Odo-Okun in Ilorin, Coach Kabir Sulaiman Dogo also has some home boys, who drew some level of support for their team against the home team.

Another factor was fatigue, which Coach Abdullahi Biffo said is affecting all the teams, as he described it as improper.

“It was a difficult game, because they gave us a good fight, but they scored against themselves because of pressure on them.

In his reaction, the Coach of Wikki Tourists, Kabir Sulaiman Dogo said that his first major task was to stabilize the team, a target he said, he has accomplished, adding that what he met on ground was zero.

Kwara United FC, with the win over Wikki Tourists, have six points from three matches, and will play Abia Warriors in Matchday Four of the NPFL in Okigwe on Sunday.
