Nasarawa United stunned Bendel Insurance with a dramatic 1–0 victory at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on Matchday 7 of the 2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season to go top of the table.

The tightly contested encounter appeared destined for a goalless draw until Garba Mohammed struck deep into stoppage time, sealing all three points for the visitors in the 90+4th minute. His clinical finish silenced the home crowd and handed the Solid Miners a crucial away win.

Bendel Insurance dominated possession for most of the game, creating several chances but failing to convert. Nasarawa United, on the other hand, stayed disciplined in defense and capitalized on a rare late opportunity to secure victory.

The result marks Nasarawa United’s second consecutive win, moving them up the NPFL standings, while Bendel Insurance will rue their missed chances as they suffer a setback at home.

Meanwhile, El-Kanemi Warriors continued their fine home form with a solid 2–1 victory over Kano Pillars in Maiduguri. Daddy Abdulrahman was the hero of the day, netting twice in the second half in the 60th and 81st minutes to give the hosts a comfortable lead before Suleiman Idris pulled one back for Pillars in the 89th minute. Despite late pressure, the Warriors held firm to secure an important win in front of their fans.
