NPFL: Stakeholders Call For Fans Resumption To Stadium

Sign of relief as resolutions emerging from the consultative meeting between the League Management Company (LMC) and all the NPFL Club owners on Thursday heralded the resumption of the league after hiatus and its attendant postponement.

Among many other decision of the stakeholders at the meeting was the call to review fans engagement in the match centres across the country.

“The meeting mandated the LMC to liaise with the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports and other relevant agencies for a gradual process of reopening the stadiums with at least five thousand fans” the statement reads apart.

This according to them will help the clubs raise to expand its revenue sources to ease the economic challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

While also emphasizing that the league completed as scheduled, the stakeholders also acknowledged presentations  by the LMC on the several revenue streams and other commercial inflows being awaited to give  the league a strong financial boost.
