Warri Wolves Edge Barau FC in Kano
Warri Wolves recorded one of the standout away wins of the weekend, defeating Barau FC 1-0 at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata in Kano. Justus Ohanu netted the only goal in the 29th minute after a well-worked move, while Barau’s hopes of a comeback faded when Emmanuel Okoko was sent off in the 74th minute.
Ayodele Heads 3SC to Victory
In Ibadan, Ismail Ayodele was the hero as Shooting Stars edged Plateau United 1-0. The forward’s clinical header in the 94th minute sealed a hard-fought victory for the Oluyole Warriors, who continued to impress under coach Nurudeen Aweroro.
Bayelsa, Ikorodu City Share the Spoils
At the Samson Siasia Stadium, Bayelsa United were held to a 1-1 draw by Lagos based club Ikorodu City. James Emo put the hosts in front in the 25th minute before Ikorodu city levelled the scores just seven minutes before the final whistle through Tosin Oyedokun to give the away side their second point on the road this season.
Stalemates and Shocks Elsewhere
In Aba, continental heavyweights Enyimba and Rivers United played out a goalless draw in a tactical battle that offered few clear chances. Meanwhile, Abia Warriors stunned Kwara United 1-0 away in Ilorin to grab one of the day’s biggest results. Niger Tornadoes and Kun Khalifat also settled for a 1-1 draw, sharing the points after a competitive contest.
