One of Sunshine Stars brightest performer on match day three Faud Ekelojuoti has expressed disappointment following his side 1-0 defeat to MFM FC in Lagos on Sunday evening, OwoSports.com.ng reports.
Dennis Obasi’s 7th minutes strike was what made the difference as the Olukoya Boys picked up their second win of the Nigeria Professional Football League 2020/2021 Season.
Faud Ekelojuoti meanwhile affirms that his side were punished for lack of consentration in the opening minutes of the encounter, but believed hard luck was responsible for them not getting an equaliser late in the game after substitute Sadeeq Yusuf header hit the woodwork.
“We lost concentration in the early minutes and we were punished for it”, says the attacker.
“We were very unlucky not to get a point here, we hope to get it right in our next game”.
Reacting to Sadeeq Yusuf’s last minute header which was met by the wood work, he said “It was very disappointing, if we had gotten that one right that would have been a point for us that would have propelled us for the next game, but we just have to go back home and make sure we get it right in our next game.
He however he promised to get the maximum point in their next game against Lobi Stars on Wednesday.
