Head coach of Enyimba Football Club Finidi George has stated that he is not under any form of pressure following their unimpressive start to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, Owosports.com.ng reports

The former Nigeria International appointed coach of Enyimba Football Club in September 2021 had an impressive run in the CAF confederations cup where he won three games before being knocked out by Libyan side Al-Ittihad via walk over following Enyimba’s failure to honor the second leg tie in Libya after they had won the first leg 2-0 in Aba.

The seven times Nigeria league champions are currently placed 6th on the league table with 20 points following six wins, five defeat and two draws, but the former Ajax Amsterdam winger isn’t worried about their current form as he believes it is normal in football but maintain that they will keep working hard to turn things around.

“It happens in football tho not what we expected but we will work hard to turn things around”, The 1994 African cup of Nations winner said to Journalist after their 1-0 defeat to Kwara United on Wednesday.

“Teams ahead of us are taking their points but I know our time will come there is no need for me to stress myself we just have to work harder to get the needed results”, he concluded.

Enyimba FC will take on struggling MFMFC in their next NPFL clash at the Enyimba Stadium in Aba.
