The tall and mobile striker’s goal in the 13th minutes was all that make the difference in the NPFL match day 1 encounter between Niger Tornadoes and Plateaue United in Ilorin on Sunday.
Adeniji hits the net with the last stretch of his left leg – profiting from a rumble within the box of the opponents to give Coach Bala led side the needed points.
Speaking exclusively with www.owosports.com.ng after the game, Adeniji expressed his delight scoring the goal in his debut for the Ikon Allah Boys.
“I am very happy to have scored the goal and I feel great that it’s coming on my debut” the former MFM Striker said.
“It’s not really easy for us but at the end we got our 3 points all glory belongs to God for giving us the victory” he said.
Adding that he will continue to work hard to live up to expectations, he said the team will not lose focus on their dream in the new season.
While commending his teammates for their commitment, he thanked the coach for believing in him and promised to continue to do his best for the team.
Niger Tornadoes will travel to Bauchi to face Wikki Tourists in the next game.
The team is currently 6th on the NPFL table.
