NPFL22: MFMFC Receives Massive Boost With The Return Of Barry

MFM football club has been handed a huge boost in their fight for survival with the return of midfielder Legbara Barry after his failed move to Rivers United, Owosports.com.ng reports.

The Midfielder who has been with the club for two seasons since joining from Ghanian league sides Blus skill FC is in the final year of his contract but was snapped up by league leaders Rivers United during the transfer window but the deal broke down as MFM FC decided to keep hold of their star man as they refused to release his papers to Rivers United.

The combative midfielder after missing the club’s first nine matches has finally returned to Lagos to see off his contract with the club and could returned to action when MFM take on Akwa United on Sunday in Lagos.

Barry speaking exclusively to www.owosports.com.ng believed the club has all it takes to avoid the drop however stating that he will give his best to make sure the club doesn’t go down.

“I am back to MFMFC, my move to Rivers United didn’t work out due to papers issues so I decided to come back Lagos”, he said to Owosports.com.ng.

“I am here to play football, I am here to help the club, we are coming back stronger, MFMFC will not be relegated, we are going to win some matches away this season”,he said confidently.

MFMFC after losing 1-0 to Shooting Stars in Lagos will be on the road for their midweek matchday ten clash against Gombe United on Thursday, they currently sit bottom of the Nigeria Professional Football League standing with just six points from nine league games.
