Kwara United football club on Thursday forced Shooting Stars to a goalless draw at the Lekan Salami Stadium In Ibadan.
Goal Keeper Adeyinka Adewale was the hero as his brilliance helped the Harmony Boys secured a point in the Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday two.
The match was a total different ball game compared to the opening day encounter against Gombe United last Sunday.
Kwara United dominated possession for almost ninety minutes but failed to find the back of the net as skipper Kabir Balogun and Paul Samson were unlucky not to have netted for the harmony boys.
Goal keeper Adeyinka Adewale was outstanding through out the game as kept shooting stars at bay with some glorious save in the tension soaked encounter which ended goalless.
Both teams have now recorded two points each from their first two games of the NPFL 2022/2023 season.
Results elsewhere saw Bendel Insurance maintained top spot in Group A after they beat Plateau United 2-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, while El-Kanemi piped Nasarawa United ended 2-1 in Kaduna Niger Tonedoes beat Doma United 1-0
Sunshine Stars and Rivers United settled for a one-all draw, Enyimba were unable to subdue Akwa United in Aba on Wednesday as the encounter ended goalless, Abia Warriors outclassed Bayelsa United by 3-1, Dakkada FC defeated Wikki Tourist two-one.
