Head Coach of Enyimba FC Finidi George says he feels satisfied with his team victory over Lobi Stars in the second game of the Nigeria premier league championship playoff currently ongoing at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Lagos, Owosports.com.ng reports.
After the disappointing draw with Remo Stars on Saturday in the day one of the tourney, The People’s Elephants returned to winning ways with a hard earn victory over Lobi Stars of Markudi thanks to Emeka Obioma’s 16th minutes header which secured maximum points as they go level on four points with Rivers United.
“I am very happy with the results, the last game we got a draw which I think we should have won but it didn’t happen. Today it was a difficult game energy sharpen when you play by 2pm it not easy it very demanding for the players I think at the end of the day we deserve the three points even though it one goal but the defenders did a solid job.” The gaffer said in a post match interview.
Speaking on the rotation of the squad after he made five changes from the team that started the last game he said,
“Everyone we brought here can play we had couple of friendly matches to test the players. We will not just change the whole team we will gradually give players minutes and see how we can get to the fifth game.
The former Nigeria International also expressed his displeasure playing under the harsh weather adding that it made more difficult and demanding for his boys.
“We don’t make the rules when the draws came out and we found ourselves playing three games by two O’clock it is very demanding I must say you can see I didn’t play but I’m sweating really tasty to drink water but we must commend Lobi Stars aswell even though we won the match it not easy our next game is two O’clock again”.
On his next game he believes if his boys can give their best then he is hopeful of a victory.
“We will come out to give our best in the next game I know if the boys give their best the victory will be ours”. He stated.
