Bendel Insurance midfielder Divine Nwachukwu feels his team are still very much in the title race despite their slow start to the Nigeria premier league championship playoff, Owosports.com.ng reports.
The Benin Arsenals who are unbeaten in 20 games in the current Nigeria premier league (NPL) season have had two draws from two games against Lobi Stars and Sunshine Stars respectively which has left them fourth on the log with two points.
“Sure we are still on course for the title it is still open the leaders are on four points and we have two points so it’s much open and we will come on Wednesday and try to get the win to be up there”, He said to journalists after their 1-1 draw with Sunshine Stars on Monday night.
He further stated that the team is in good shape adding that it hasn’t been a easy ride to go 20 games unbeaten in the Nigeria premier league.
“We are feeling good as usual it’s not easy to go 20 matches unbeaten especially in this kind of league”, He said.
Bendel Insurance will look to get their first win in the Championship Playoff when they file out against Enyimba FC in the third game on Wednesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Onikan Lagos.
