Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has attracted interest from English Championship side Queens Park Rangers, as well as Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq after his impressive performances with Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, OwoSports.com.ng reports.
Nwabali has been in demand even before his superb AFCON with Nigeria, with Kaizer Chiefs among the local clubs interested in him. He has kept seven clean sheets in 15 appearances for Chippa United so far this season.
However, he gained wider attention at the AFCON, where he kept four clean sheets to help the Super Eagles finish as runners-up. As a result, several clubs from abroad have inquired about him.
According to Italian and international Transfer Football expert Fabrizio Romano, Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq and Championship side Queens Park Rangers have enquired about him.
