Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi and his fellow countryman Anthony Nwakaeme played an important role in Trabzonspor 3-0 away victory at Ankaragucu in a Turkish Super Lig match played on Saturday at Eryaman Stadyumu, Ankara.
Nwakaeme scored and provided an assist as Trabzonspor went to the summit of the log.
He netted the third goal of the encounter on the 53rd minutes to sealed off the game, he had earlier provided an assist to Yusuf Sari who scored the second goal third minutes into second half, after Alexander Sorloth strike in six minutes.
Mikel Obi returned to Trabzonspor starting eleven after injury lay off and played the entire duration of the game while his compatriot Nwakaeme was substituted for Firatcan Uzum 16th minutes before regulation period.
Trabzonspor are joint league leader alongside Istanbul Basaksehir with 22 points from 12 games, Trabzon based side with superior goal difference of ten to six to seat at the top of log.
