After several postponement the Nigeria Women’s Premiership (NWFL) finally kicked off across different centers with some exciting results coming through, Owosports.com.ng reports.
The biggest game of the week was the South-South derby between Bayelsa Queens and Rivers which went down at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenogoa.

In the other fixtures coach Ann Chiejine’s Abia Angels shocked FC Robo of Lagos 1-0 at the Enyimba FC Stadium in Aba thanks to a 23 minutes strike from Nkechi Agams

Naija Ratels led by FIFA U17 world cup bronze winning coach Bankole Olowokere, in Abuja spank newly promoted Heartland Queens 3-1 to go tops of Group A with a better goal difference ahead of Bayelsa Queens.
Osun Babes FC at the Lanre Leke Stadium in Ile Ogbo beat Royal Queens FC 2-0 thanks to goals from Eberechukwu Oleka and Faith Samson in the 32nd and 81st minutes respectively.
In Lafia it was Nasarawa Amazon who piped Edo Queens 1-0, while Adamawa Queens outshined newly promoted Ibom Angels.
