Favorites Remo Stars will tackle Gombe United in the first semi-final game of the 8th edition of the Ogunjobi Gold Cup preseason tournament holding in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The Savannah Scorpions set up a clash with Group B leaders, Remo Stars after they beat Ekiti United 2-1 in their last Group A game on Monday.
The tie is billed for 8am Wednesday at the Main Bowl of the Kwara State Sports Complex.
The Savannah Scorpions finished the group with 6points and a plus one goal difference behind ABS FC.
It took Gombe United four minutes to break Ekiti United defence line as Muhammed Hussain’s cross was turned into the net by Barnabas Daniel.
Ahmed Jimoh put his team on the driver’s seat after he made it 2-0 on the dot of 45 minutes after he rounded up two Ekiti United defenders before slotting home his first goal of the tourney.

The second semi final billed for 4pm on Wednesday certainly would be a cracker as its a Kwara Derby.
ABS FC who beat FC Ebedei to top Group A after scoring two goals in each half via the boots of Oyedeji Samuel and Okoromi in the 35th and 87th minute will host their arch rivals Kwara United for a place in the final.
Kwara United who had 6points came second of Group B behind Remo Stars who pulled 7points from three matches.
