General Manager of Offa FC, Azeez Omoluabi has called on stakeholders to come to the aid of the team ahead of the new (Nationwide League One) NLO season.
Speaking to Sportspro News correspondent ahead of the team’s resumption on Monday, the NFF certified intermediary emphasised the need for all well meaning sons and daughters of Offa to rally round the team as it represent the image of the community.
He noted that the club has been a veritable platform for youth empowerment and productivity in the community over time, hence; the need for it to be maintained and sustained.
“I want to use this medium to solicit for help financially and materially towards keeping this club together. We shouldn’t allow it to go into extinction”. He said.
According to the former Kwara United Liaison officer, he recalled teams like Railway FC,Road Transport FC, Noble FC, Okin FC,Agbaakin FC, Avalon FC are clubs which had existed in Offa but are no more.
Offa FC was established in 2006 and the team has since become a melting point for football talents in Offa to showcase their skills while expanding their stretch in the game for bigger opportunities.
He also added : “Let me assure all the people of Offa and Kwara State that while we count on their support,we will work assidously to gain promotion to Nigeria National League(NNL) at the end of the season.
The team will be resuming on Monday for the new NLO campaign billed to commence on February 16th with the ultimate aim to secure promotion.
