Captain Onome Ebi has expressed her excitement after getting amongst the goals as the Super Falcons defeated New Zealand 3-0 in their second game of the ongoing Pre-Worldcup tourney in Turkey.
The Randy Waldrum-led team recorded their third consecutive victory following a 3-0 win over their counterpart from New Zealand at the Mardan Sports Complex in Turkey on Tuesday after ending their seven-match winless run in their last game of the revelation cup against Costa Rica in February.
Onome Ebi headed Nigeria into the lead in the 34th minute, while Onyi Echechini made it two on the 49th minutes, the returning Desire Oparanozie completed the rout on the 94th minutes.
The Super Falcons captain who netted her third goal for Nigeria took to her Instagram page to express her excitement after the game.
The defender posted the video of the goal scored and wrote “I am excited about my goal”
The 39-year-old who is getting set to feature at her sixth FIFA Women’s Cup became the first African Footballer to play in five Fifa World Cup Tournaments, taking part in the 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015, 2019 editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
