Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo has urged Henry Onyekuru to leave Monaco, reports OwoSports.com.

Yobo a former Everton and Fenerbahce defender told AKSAM: “Onyekurue is a great talent.

“Sad he didn’t get to play for Everton, I had wanted to see him play in the Premier League but Work permit didn’t allow that.

“The Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world but it can also be a disadvantage when you don’t play.

“His time in Monaco not good as we have not seen much from him, leaving on loan is the better option for him.

“The best for Onyekuru is to go back to Turkey. I expect him to take his performance to the next level and contribute to the Super Eagles.”

Onyekuru, who signed Everton for 7 million euros in 2017, was sold to Monaco for €15 million Euros this season looks set to rejoin Galatasaray on loan in January after rejecting a move to Russia’s CSKA and Locomotiv Moscow.
