The football spotlight will beam on Abeokuta as the maiden edition of the ASM Scouting Programme kicks off from November 18 to 20, 2025, at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex, Ogun State.
The three-day event promises to be an exciting platform for young, talented footballers across Nigeria to showcase their abilities before top scouts and technical experts. The programme is designed to identify and nurture promising players for future professional opportunities both locally and abroad.

According to the organisers, the scouting programme will begin with Combine fixtures featuring pre-scouted players drawn from clubs across the country, including:
Abray Sports Football Club (Ilorin), Vido 99 FC, Skyrockers Football Academy, FIMA FC (Ijebu Ode), Lasegski Academy (Abeokuta), 21 Twelve Football Club, Supreme Kings FC (Asia), Ladegbuwa FC, LUBA Football Club, Tomorrow Stars Sports Academy, and Ijebu United Football Club.

All teams are expected to arrive at the stadium one hour before kickoff each day to ensure smooth coordination and adherence to schedule.
Speaking ahead of the event, one of the programmes on ground Facilitator/ coordinator, Mr, Richard Opanuga stated that the ASM Scouting Programme aims to “provide a fair, competitive, and professional environment for young footballers to be assessed by credible scouts and coaches.”
With participation from top grassroots club’s such as Box2Box FC, 36 Lions,SGFC Athletics, and Magic Stars, the ASM Scouting Programme is set to raise the bar for youth football development in Nigeria.
The organisers expressed confidence that the initiative will serve as a launchpad for several hidden talents, while also contributing to the growth of football in Ogun State and the country at large.
