Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has joined Saudi Women’s Premier League side Al Hilal from Bay FC.

The 30-year-old completed her medicals in Riyadh on Monday before signing for the club. She is now set to link up with Nigerian teammates Ashleigh Plumptre and Francisca Ordega in the fast-growing Saudi women’s league.

Oshoala, a six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year, has enjoyed a decorated career across several continents. She previously played for Robo Queens and Rivers Angels in Nigeria, Liverpool and Arsenal in England, Dalian Quanjian in China, and Barcelona Femeni, where she won multiple league titles and the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The striker moved to the United States earlier this year to join Bay FC in the NWSL before sealing a switch to Saudi Arabia.

Her arrival at Al Hilal is seen as a major boost for the league, which continues to attract top African and international stars.
