Osimhen Is On Fire For Super Eagles, Says Ndidi

Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has hailed his teammate, Victor Osimhen on his skills and goal scoring qualities as the striker bagged a brace and was involved in the four goals Nigeria scored against Lesotho.

The AFCON bronze winners stay top of Group L after they defeated the Crocodiles of Lesotho 4-2 on MatchDay 2 of the AFCON 2021 Qualifiers in Maseru.

Ndidi in a tweet posted on his official Twitter handle after the game read, “Good to wrap the international break with a win and top of the table. The future is bright for the team ?? @victorosimhen9 ??.

It was Osimhen’s third goal for Nigeria in the qualifying series.

Masoebi Nkoto drew first blood for The Crocodiles after he found the back of the Eagles net in the 11th minute to send the home fans to wild excitement in Maseru.

The lead didn’t last long as the AFCON 2019 bronze winners came from behind via goals scored by the duo of Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze in the 26th and 38th minutes, as Nigeria ended the first half 1-2.

The 2nd half was for Lille Metropole of France striker, Victor Osimhen as he bagged a brace within ten minutes to extend Nigeria’s lead in the 75th and 85th minutes.

Chidozie Awaziem in the 90th minute put scored an own-goal after he turned the ball in his own net to reduce the tally to 2-4.
