Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen showed his angry mood in Napoli’s draw away to Cagliari on Sunday, OwoSports.com.ng reports.
Cagliari Yerry Mina showed he has a rather old-school technique of defending and confirmed his unsportsmanlike behaviour on Osimhen.
The veteran Colombia international has made quite the impact since his January move to Cagliari from Fiorentina, but not always in a good way.
He had hit the headlines during a tussle with Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee when visibly pinching the Dutchman’s nipple in an off the ball incident – a classic example of the so-called ‘dark arts’ of defending.
Mina did it again, this time to Napoli and Osimhen, just a couple of minutes into this afternoon’s Serie A match.
Osimhen reacted angrily and tried to explain to the referee and players what had caused his response.
Despite his reaction, the African Player of the Year in the 65th minute was on the score sheet for Napoli, after he leapt highest to head in a cross from Raspadori.
Unfortunately for Napoli, they failed to see out the win, as Cagliari scored at the death courtesy of Zito Luvumbo. That ensured that the game ended 1-1.
Napoli remain ninth on the Serie A log, eleven points behind the top four positions.
