Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen was in action for Napoli as they beat Empoli 2-0 at home on Matchday 14 of the Italian Serie A on Monday.
The 23-year-old who has eight league goals for Napoli this season, played for almost the entirety of the game before been substituted in the 90th minutes.
After a difficult start at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples, Napoli broke the deadlock as Victor Osimhen was brought down by an Empoli player in the 68th minute.
Mexico International forward, Hirving Lozano scored from the resulting spot kick to give Napoli the lead, Piotr Zielinski then sealed Napoli’s victory two minutes before time as the blues go nine point clear at the summit.
In another Serie A game,
Super Eagles forward, Isaac Success was in action as Udinese earned a point away from home to Spezia.
Success, who had a goal ruled out for offside by the VAR in the 20th minutes, played for 85 minutes and provided the assist for his side’s only goal on the night as they extend their winless run to seven games in all competitions.
Polish Arkadiusz Reca gave the host the lead in the 33rd minute before Sandi Lovric then restored parity ten minutes later.
Udinese pushed for a late winner but Spezia held on as Udinese still maintained their place in eighth position on the log with 24 points after 14 games played this season.
