With just days to go until the start of 2024 Paris Olympics, the National Olympic Committees (Africa) has released the list of participating athletes by country.
The continent’s sporting powerhouses, South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya, are leading the pack with an impressive number of athletes representing their nations.
South Africa tops the list with a formidable team of 149 athletes, followed closely by Nigeria with 88 athletes, and Kenya with 72 athletes. Egypt, Morocco, and Ethiopia also boast significant contingents, with 147, 59, and 34 athletes respectively.
Other African nations, like Algeria, Tunisia, and Uganda, have also made notable contributions to the Olympic roster.
Meanwhile, smaller delegations from countries like Somalia, Mauritania, and Seychelles will also be making their mark on the global stage.
