Plateau United and Enyimba have been favoured to represent the country in next season CAF Champions league, while Rivers United and Kano Pillars will represent in the CAF Confederations Cup, Owosports reports.
This decision was made known by the League Management Company (LMC) via online meeting held on the 7th of August 2020, as the point per game fomart (PPG) was adopted to decide the top three teams that will represent the country in the continet.
The head to head rule was used to seperate River United and Enyimba who were tied on same coefficient which meant Eyinmba goes ahead of Rivers United to 2nd position.
The Nigeria Professional Football League was cancelled after match day twenty five being intially suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The LMC in the meeting picked September/October as the proposed date for the start of the 2020/2021 season subject to the federal government approval.
