Premier League Manager Tags ‘Super Eagles Midfielder ‘Very Important Player’

Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers has tagged Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi as ‘a very important player’ as the Foxes prepare for their next Premier League match against Leeds United on Sunday.

Ndidi who has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury since September 25th came in from the bench to help his team secure a 1-1 draw against Russian outfit Spartak Moscow in the UEFA Europa League tie on Thursday.

Rodgers with a broad smile on his face noted how  Wilfred Ndidi’s impact on the team is very important.

“He’s very, very important for us, from a defensive perspective. He’s very, very important for us, from a defensive perspective. He covers a lot of space.

“In those defensive moments, you need that player to get back in. He’s a very, very important player for us and it’s great to have him back.” Rodgers told the club website
