Kwara United began their preseason campaign with a 3-0 victory over Ajaokuta FA of Kogi on Tuesday evening at the Kwara State Complex Stadium Ilorin.
Debutants Owolabi Aremu from Kebbi United, ABS loanee Ibrahim Mohammed and defender Adebayo from Niger Tornadoes were the goal scorers as the Harmony Boys ran riot over the academy boys from Kogi State.
The test game saw new signings including Taofik Hameed, Paul Samson, Yakub Hameed, Adebayo Abiodun in the starting line up while Wasiu Alalade, Wasiu Jimoh, Ibrahim Mohammed and Owolabi Aremu came on in the second half.
After a goalless first half substitute Owolabi Aremu opened the scoring in the 60th minutes, Ibrahim Mohammed added the second in the 75th minutes via a sublime free kick Adebayo Abiodun completed the rout with a beautiful goal from the free kick with the final kick of the game.
Amongst players who recently signed not listed in the game were Anthony Omaka, Ezekiel Tamara Salisu Dagboru.
Kwara United will depart for Ikene Ogun state on Wednesday as they look to continue their preparation ahead of their continental engagement in September.
