Bayern Munich are believed to be unhappy with Senegal after they named Sadio Mane in their World Cup squad according to reports, Owosports.com.ng gathered.

Mane joined the Bundesliga giants in the summer after spending six successful seasons at Anfield where he won every major trophy possible during his spell on with Liverpool, but opted for pastures new in Germany ahead of the current campaign.

The winger suffered an injury to his fibula during Bayern’s 6-1 win against Werder Bremen on Tuesday night, sparking fears he could miss the World Cup.

However, Mane has still been included in Senegal’s squad for the tournament, a decision that has not gone down well with his club.

According to Christian Falk of German newspaper BILD, Bayern are ‘not happy’ with the inclusion of one of their star players considering his recent injury scare.

Despite fears over his fitness Mane, who scored three goals on the road to Senegal’s African Cup of Nations triumph earlier in the year, will soon be reunited with some of his compatriots and former Premier League counterparts.

Chelsea duo Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly have also been named in the squad, as well as Everton’s Idrissa Gana Gueye and Nottingham Forest’s Cheikhou Kouyate.
