The 5Stars Premier League seven-a-side football showcase kicked off in style at the Playsporthub Mini Stadium in Tanke, Ilorin, with a plethora of goals and thrilling football artistry on display.

The opening day witnessed a great turnout of fans who were treated to breathtaking goals and skillful performances from the participating teams.

Distinguished guests, including the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bola Mogaji, and the Chairman of Ilorin West Local Football Council, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Owolabi Agbaji Wopa, added glamour to the occasion.

In the first game, GAA AKANBI were held to a 1-1 draw by Prime Star FC. Adewuyi Ishaq opened the scoring for Gaa Akanbi, but Yusuf Abdullafeez equalized later to ensure a share of the spoils.

Zeal FC staged an impressive comeback in the second game as they devoured Black Wolves 5-2 under heavy rain. Precious Peter began the comeback as he leveled the score for Zeal FC just before the interval, canceling out Mubaraq Khalil opener.

Ogunbenro Mustapha delivered a man-of-the-match performance, scoring a brace, while Black Wolves scored two own goals. Adebisi Oloruntobi added a late consolation to make it 5-2 at full-time.
