Rambo Football Academy praises ABS FC’s PTDP initiative, selection process

 

The Chairman of Rambo Football Acedemy of Kaduna State, Aminu Aliyu Rambo has commended the Players’ Talent Hunt and Development Programme introduced by Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club.

Aminu, whose team also participated in the scouting programme equally hailed the selection process, after watching his team struggle against the selected players.

“This is a good initiative that we are happy to be part of. It’s a good opportunity for the young players, and for the teams and Academies as well.

The former player, who played in the local league and equally plied his soccer trade in countries like Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt during his playing days said that such opportunities never existed when he was playing.

“Players this days have numerous begging opportunities like this Players’ Talent Hunt and Development Programme, and Youth Club and Academy Owners go extra miles, to sustain the development of the round leather game through various scarifices.

“We go through the pressure of having to transport players to and fro training, and most times feeding them, a gesture that doesn’t exist during my playing days, when we have to go extra length to even get noticed. But for players of nowadays, everything is at their doorsteps.

The Academy, which he said, has been in existence for over 15 years has numerous players in both foreign and domestic leagues, even as he said that he will sustain the platform for the development of youth and football.

He added that he was encouraged by the abundance of football talents in Nigeria, to float the Academy, and adopted his nickname during his playing days, Rambo, as the name of the Academy.
