Super Falcons Midfielder Rita Chikwelu has signed for Spanish side Levante on a free transfer for the new season.
The 34-year-old became a free agent when she left Madrid CFF. She scored six goals in 64 league appearances for the club.
The experienced Nigerian has previously played for United Pietarsaari, Umea and Kristianstad.
Chikwelu participated in the FIFA U-20 World Cup from 2004 to 2008 and made her senior national team debut in 2007 at the FIFA women’s World Cup. She was a member of the Nigerian Olympic team which participated in the 2008 Summer Olympics in China.
