OwoSports.com.ng can report that Rivers Hoopers, Nigeria’s representatives at the 2024 Basketball Africa League, have signed John Wilkins for this season’s edition.
Wilkins, who was part of the Stade Malien team that finished third at last season’s BAL, has joined the KingsMen as their third import player for Season Four of the Basketball Africa League.
Wilkins is an experienced basketball player who was born in 1989 to former NBA player Jeff Wilkins. He has played in Belgium, France, Morocco, and Germany.
The French-American player represented Morocco’s national team at the 2017 AfroBasket in Tunisia and Senegal.
Wilkins is known for his impressive performance in the quarterfinals of the 2023 BAL, where he dropped 18 points in their win over Cape Town Tigers and was awarded the Visit Rwanda Player of the Game.
