Rohr New Eagles Contract: Everything Lies With NFF, Ladan Bosso

Amid a clear and obvious indication of the renewal of Super Eagles Franco-German coach, Gernot Rohr by the NFF, The President of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association has noted all the decisions lies with the country football ruling body.

Speaking to www.owosports.com on the NFF decision to renew the contract of the former Bordeaux handler, with new terms and conditions applied, he said all the affairs of appointment is the NFF’s.

“It is purely the decision of the NFF” he quipped.

Asked whether the reactivation is good for the country, the former Katsina United boss further revealed the renewal is something he believed based on job satisfactory by the employee as while adding that checks and balances can be introduced in the spirit of reactivation.

“If the coach had delivered the target given to him from the initial contract, then check and balances can be done amidst a new contract can be put on the table”

Among the new terms and conditions in the proposed contract is that the Franco-German tactician must reside within the Nigeria two cities of Lagos or Abuja against his current habitation outside the country while traveling to Europe should not be more than twice or thrice a year.

Super Eagles enjoy a relative growth under the tutelage of the former Leone Stars coach while qualifying the country to Russia 2018 World Cup, he later went on to secure a bronze medal from the AFCON 2019.

Rohr is expected to renew his contract as his initial three year deal runs out with NFF this month.

Negotiation For the new deal according to NFF President, Amaju Pinnick will hit the ground running in the early days of January 2020.
