Former Chelsea and Ivory Coast forward Salomon Kalou to continue his career in Brazil as he joined Brazilian top flight side Botafogo.
The 34-year-old joined Botafago on a free transfer after he left German side Hertha Berlin days ago and has now headed to South America, though his exit was surrounded by some controversy after he was suspended in May for breaking the physical distancing rules put in place due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
The Ivorian has sent his farewell message to the club as he thanked the club and fans for making his stay in Germany memorable.
“Dear Hertha fans, thank you so much.
“Hertha Bsc organization thank you. So many good memories shared. God willing, I will see you guys soon,” he twitted
