Samuel Eto’o Holds First Meeting With Federation Staff, Discuss Plan Of Action

The newly elected President of FECAFOOT and Cameroonian legend has kicked off the business of his administration by holding an all-staff meeting with the staff of the football body on Monday.

Eto’o had on Saturday emerged President in the election polling 43 votes against the former President, Seidou Mbombo Njoya 31.

“So many firsts today as the new president of fecafoot .This morning we kicked of with an all-staff meeting to connect and discuss our plan of action to bring Cameroonian football to new heights . We are all ready to get to work, the energy is there let’s go team” the former Barcelona posted on his official Facebook handle.

Reports has it that Eto’o had earlier before the meeting visited the site of fecafoot technical centre construction going in Odza.

In his ever-ready-drive to also put football development on a sound footing while engaging critical stakeholders, he had also met the Cameroon Minister of sports and physical education, professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.

The former Inter Milan in his bid to promote the values of Sports among young people and creation of playgrounds in rural areas for children had also met
Salah Zaki Khaled ,UNESCO Central African Regional Director, exploring ways of partnership as he chat a new course for the country’s football.

Eto’o had promised in his acceptance speech to create a new chapter for the Cameroonian football.

His administrative acumen will be put to test when the country plays host to the next AFCON coming up in January 9 – February 6 in Cameroon.
