Super Eagles left back Zaidu Sanusi was the hero as he scored in added time to seals FC Porto’s 30th Portuguese league title with a 1-0 victory away to Benfica.
The Nigerian struck on a counter-attack minutes into stoppage time to put Porto nine points ahead with one round of games to play.
The victory completes what has been a memorable domestic campaign for Porto who nearly went the season unbeaten before FC Braga ended their impressive run two weeks ago, but they had already set a new mark of 58 games without defeat.
They will be able to crown their season with a double, when they face Tondela, 16th in the league, in the Portuguese Cup final on May 22
