SGFC Athletics Stand-in Captain Stephen Tambari Optimistic Ahead of KFA Clash

Despite SGFC Athletics disappointing 2-1 loss to Abraysports on matchday 3 of the Nation-Wide Division One league encounter on Thursday, stand-in captain Stephen Tambari remains optimistic ahead of their next match against KFA.

Tambari, who led the team in the absence of the regular captain Ogani Michael, is hopeful of shaking off the setback and targeting a win against KFA to get their season back on track.

“We were unlucky against Abraysports, but we can’t dwell on that defeat,” Tambari said in a post-match interview. “We have to focus on our next game against KFA and work towards getting our first win of the season.”

SGFC has had a tough start to the season, losing three out of their three matches, but Tambari believes that the team has the potential to turn things around.

“We have a good squad and we’re working hard in training,” he added. “We just need to stay positive and keep pushing ourselves to get the results we want.”

The match against KFA is scheduled for Sunday April 28th 2024 at 4pmtime and SGFC will be looking to bounce back from their recent defeats and secure their first win of the season.
