Stade de Reims Unveils Super Falconets Duo Of Imuran And Demehin

By Onyekachi Chimezie

Rofiat Imuran and Blessing Oluwatosin Demehin, two Falconets standouts, have joined Stade de Reims, a French team in the women’s top tier.

Imuran and Demehin signed a two-year contract with Stade de Reims that included a 12-month extension option.

And commenting on the signing of Demehin, the club wrote: “After the arrival of Rofiat Imuran, Stade de Reims continued its international recruitment and enlisted Blessing Demehin, a young Nigerian defender. Welcome Tosin.”

Rofiat Imuran featured for the Falconets at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica with the 18-year-old playing four games with an assist to her name.

The defender who joined until 2024 alongside her Falconets teammate said that she is here to work for her new team.

“Playing for your national team is a source of pride! I now turn to my performances with Stade de Reims. Working, progressing and helping the team to aim even higher, these are my main objectives when I arrive here,” Rofiat stated.

After the unveiling of Rofiat Imuran, Stade de Reims also announced the signing of Blessing Oluwatosin Demehin until 2024.

“I am very happy to arrive here in France and more particularly at the Stade de Reims. Discovering the French championship with my teammate in the selection is a good thing because it will allow us to adapt and progress more quickly,” Demehin says in excitement.

Both players competed for the Falconets in Costa Rica at the FIFA women’s U-20 World Cup this year.

The team advanced into the Knockout stages before losing to Netherlands 2-0 in the quarterfinals.
