Sulaiman Umar: Doma United Are In The NPFL To Compete

Chairman of newly promoted Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Doma United, Sulaiman Umar says his side are no pushovers and are in the NPFL to compete.

Doma United alongside Niger Tornadoes, Wikki Tourist, Lobi Stars, Rivers United, Abia Warriors, Enugu Rangers, Sunshine Stars, Bayelsa United and Dakkada FC. have been drawn in Group B of the abridged NPFL 2022/23 season schedule to begin on January 8, 2023.

The Gombe-based side will kick-start their debut season with a clash at home at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe against Sunshine Stars of Akure, while their second game is away at Niger Tornadoes.

Reacting to the draw, Umar said, “Doma United are in the NPFL to compete and no team is a pushover. Doma United are not pushovers.

“Our first game is against Sunshine Stars and we believe we can start strongly at home by winning our first game of the season.” He said to Punch.com.ng.
