Super Eagles forward Kayode Olanrewaju who is on loan at Turkish Super Lig side Gazişehir Gaziantep from Ukrainian club side Shakhtar Donetsk has expressed his desire of playing in the Segunda Spanish La liga.
The 27-year-old who joined Gazişehir Gaziantep on a season long loan from Donetsk based club at the beginning of the seasons has had a stellar performance with in Turkey scoring nine goals and seven assists so far prior to the suspension of the football season globally due to coronavirus.
According to reports from Turkey, former Manchester City forward has revealed, he doesn’t know what the future holds for him in Turkey.
“My future in Turkey is not yet clear. Once the season ends I will return to Shakthar, will meet representatives of my club and we’ll see what happens after.
The Nigerian who had a short stint with La liga side Girona in 2017-2018 football season after joining on loan from Manchester city has indicated interest in returning to Spanish league.
“My goals include making a return and play in the Spanish La Liga,” he stated
The Striker has three years left on his current deal with Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk which signed him in the summer of June 2018, following a successful loan spell with the club from Manchester City.
