Super Eagles Drop In Latest FIFA Rankings

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped in the latest FIFA rankings announced by the world football governing body following the conclusion of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The country’s men’s senior team dropped three places from the previous rankings released in November as a result of their failure to participate in the just concluded the World Cup hosted by Qatar.

World Cup semifinalist in Qatar, Morocco is the new continent’s highest-ranked team followed by Senegal, Tunisia, Cameroon, and Nigeria in fifth place.

Qatar 2022 World Cup winner, Argentina ranked in second place behind another South American country and neighbor Brazil, while France, Belgium, and England complete the top five places.

The next assignment for the Super Eagles is to navigate their way to Ivory Coast for the Africa Cup of nations in 2024.
