Nigeria Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has been rewarded for his brilliant performance last season as he has been voted Sparta Rotterdam player of the year, Owosports.com.ng reports.
The goalkeeper joined the Dutch Eredivisie side last summer from the German side Fortuna Dusseldorf made over 30 appearances in all competitions with keeping 12 clean sheet to show for his efforts.
His brilliance performance has attracted interest from top European club’s, with Ajax targeting the young Nigerian goalie as a potential replacement for the departing Cameroonian Andre Onana.
Okoye has won eight International cap for the Super Eagles since making his debute in an International friendly against Brazil back in October 2019.
