In a shocking statement, Super Falcons captain Ebi Onome has vehemently denied reports that she begged to be included in the Olympics team, labeling the stories as false and malicious.
Onome revealed on social media that she was never part of the Olympics program from the start and had respected Coach Randy’s decision to focus on younger players.
The veteran player expressed her disappointment and hurt over the tarnishing of her reputation, accusing bloggers of accepting payment to spread falsehoods.
Onome declared her commitment to serving the country and vowed to continue representing Nigeria until her retirement.
She warned the bloggers involved, “My God will visit you all… You will suffer endlessly until you apologize for trying to tarnish my image and reputation.”
