Udala FC CEO, Club Condone With Obi Cubana Ahead Mum’s Burial

The Chief Executive Officer of Udala FC, Chief Philip Chinonso Udala, and the club’s management have expressed their sympathy for Nightlife impresario, Obi lyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, as he lays his mother to rest at their Akaeze Oba family home, Oba, Anambra State on Thursday, July 16, 2021.

Madam Ezinne Uche Mabel Iyiegbu (Nee Ibe), who died on New Year eve, December 31, 2020, at Zenith Medical and Kidney Centre, Gudu, Abuja, after a brief illness, was born on July 5, 1942 and was married to the late chief (Sir) Alex Nnaemeka Iyiegbu (Akaeze Oba).

According to the burial announcement by the family, the service of song and Christian wake will be at her residence, Aboji village, Oba on Thursday July 15 with the Funeral Service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Oba on Friday July 16 while the reception takes place at Merchants of Light school field, Oba.

Speaking with our correspondent, the CEO of Udala FC said Madam Iyiegbu was a good mother who always wanted the best for her children and anyone around her.

He however called on the son, Obi Cubana, to take heart and see it as the will of God for mama to go and rest.

“I want to urge my brother to take heart and accept the fact that God giveth and taketh,” he said.

“Nobody wants to lose his or her parents even when they are very old but she has gone and we should all continue to build on her legacy.

“Everyone of us at Udala FC wish him all the best and pray for mama to rest in peace.”
