A head of the WAFU B regional qualifier to hold in Benin City, Edo State, the CEO Delta Queens FC, Henrrientta Ehiabor and Technical Advicer of the Asaba based ladies side, Coach Tosan Bob Blankson have reiterated the resolve of the club to double their effort in making the nation Proud.
The duo made their dispositions known in a statement made available to the Press by the Clubs Media Officer Oris Lilian.
Reacting to the recent draw that will see Delta Queens lock horns with Sam Nelly ( Benin) Athletico ( CIV) and USFA ( Burkina Faso), the CEO, Henrrientta Ehiabor said as usual the team is committed to hardwork and will not take any opposing side for granted.
She noted that with support from the Delta State sports Commission, the club is already working round the clock to ensure it continued in its winning ways while ensuring squared pegs are put in squared holes ahead of the Competition.
“The reality is that Delta Queens are the 2023 champions of the NWFL Premiership, and that on its own places a greater responsibility on the team, beginning with the WAFU B regional qualifier.”

In Same Vain, Delta Queens Technical Advicer, Tosan Bob Blankson has posited that the team is still working with its slogan “Every game is a final”
He said the technical crew is in close deliberations and mapping out best ways to build every area of the team for optimum productivity begining with the WAFU B regional qualifier In Benin, Edo state.
“No team is a minor anymore in football, for them to have qualified, it means they are champions so we continue with the mind set that we are playing against Champions in every game which we take as finals”
“The team has been working hard with support from our Commissioner and the Sports Commission. The Players too have been giving the best of concentration knowing this exposure can make or break their career.”
It would be recalled that Delta Queens qualified to represent Nigeria after they edged out defending Champions Bayelsa Queens in the Finals of the Nigeria Women Football League Super 6 which held at Asaba.
The tournament which runs from August 18 to September 2, 2023, will see seven clubs in the sub-region contest for the only slot in the CAF women’s champions league slated for October 2023.
